Twelve days ago, in our first game back from the Christmas break, we travelled all the way to Victoriaville to play our worst game of the year versus Le Boise, a listless 33-24 loss. This past Tuesday was our chance at redemption. At home this time.
And redemption it was. In our most inclusive game of the season, nine players scored en route to a comprehensive 40-24 revenge victory. In fact, after ending the first quarter down 11-6, the Red & White turned it up a notch and outscored their opponents 34-13(!) the rest of the way, featuring a 12-0 run to start the second quarter.
There were a lot of highlights this game, not the least of which was some suffocating defence in the last three quarters, but my personal Top 3 highlights were:
that picture-perfect Camryn to Nya to Majo fast-break bucket
Julia going 4-for-4 from the free-throw line
Player Of The Game Halle Khanna’s outstanding fourth quarter, featuring 3 steals on defence and 8 points on the fast break
Next up, the BCS Tournament this Friday/Saturday, with rematches coming up against The Study, St-George’s, and potentially ECS (if we were to make it to the final). Here we go!
